Play Fairy is a San Diego-based play service creating open-ended, child-led play environments.

I bring loose parts to parks, libraries, schools, and backyard gatherings to help children reach a flow state in play.

Play belongs to children.

Play is when children choose the entirety of what they are doing, who to include, how long to do it, what the goal is, or if there even is a goal at all.

Flow state play is when children are deeply engaged and certian of what they’re doing.

In play, children think for themselves, solve real problems, test their ideas, move their bodies, and work things out with others.

Play is not just an activity. It is a biological neccesity.

Children need space to direct themselves, to experiment, rest, imagine, and practice the complexities of being human.

Children at play naturally develop social, emotional, and academic skills.

Play Fairy exists to respect and protect a child's right to play.
